At Webco, we’re dedicated to shrinking the manufacturing labor shortage. We offer manufacturing internships and externships to provide hands-on learning experiences for high school students and teachers. Both students and teachers find this program immensely helpful. Teachers go back to the classroom with real-world experience and many of our student interns go on to join our team. Learn more about the program below.

SESSION 3—July 22 through Aug. 14*

*Option to end Aug. 7 if schedules require.

Five-Week Manufacturing Internships for High School Students

Skilled trades are often overlooked in favor of traditional college paths. This has resulted in a crushing labor shortage that’s affecting the industry nationwide. Our five-week manufacturing internships are designed to expose students to various aspects of the industry. This program allows students to tour different departments and choose the area they’re most interested in. This hands-on approach helps students see the potential of a career in the skilled trades. Many of our interns choose to return to Webco in a full-time capacity.

Summer Externships for Educators

Our programs are not only for students. Through our two-week externships, teachers have the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment. Teachers return to the classroom with a clearer understanding of the skills and career opportunities available, enabling them to better support and guide students toward fulfilling career paths.
